The Data Management Framework provides university data users with the information necessary to protect data at every stage of its lifecycle (e.g. collection/creation, use, storage and destruction) while preserving their ability to perform their work effectively and securely. 

While the University Data Governance Program Guidance addresses the governance of University Data, it is complemented by the Data Management Framework, which emphasizes data security and other key considerations for working with University Data. These resources should be consulted together when considering all aspects of working with University Data.
